Cloth spine, pictorial front board shows boy and girl on steps of a house talking to a man with a wooden leg. Colour frontis, b/w text illustrations. First story is "How The King Escaped". Spine bumped, corners and cover edges lightly rubbed. A few scuff marks to front cover. Prize inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Some foxing to textblock.

Spine bumped, worn and faded with small splits to top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Some scratches to covers. Both joints and some hinges cracked. Front endpaper partially detached. A little surface paper damage to front endpaper where a list had been stuck. Page browning and some foxing plus some marks to contents, including a co A few small tears to margins. One plate is creased.

Red pictorial cloth with gilt titles and flower vignette to spine and gilt titles and vignette of a girl skipping to front. 6 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. 1st item is a poem - Goodbye. One b/w plate by Wain entitled 'The Cats Party.' Spine bumped, worn and faded. Corners bumped and worn. Cover edges darkened and covers a little marked. Front and rear joints badly cracked showing webbing beneath. Some hinges cracked. One plate is loose and has ragged edges. Foxing and browning especially to prelims. A few light marks otherwise contents generally clean.
