Beige cloth spine, front cover shows two children playing at Tally-Ho. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. 139 numbered pages. First verse is "The Lane in May" by Tadema. Covers are grubby and edge-worn. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Light foxing.
8 glorious colour plates, 7 full page b/w line drawings. Pale grey cloth with gilt titles and decorations. Colour pictorial onlay to front cover. 159 pages. Large format. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. 2 of the plates have small tape repairs to the margins and 1 plate has a small mark. Foxing to textblock. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins. Dustwrapper is well worn and grubby, section across rear panel has been torn off and replaced with magic tape, another small piece has been torn and creased. Tape repairs on verso of wrapper.
Pictorial front cover illustrated by A.H.Watson shows a blonde haired girl holding the hands of some kind of spirit being(?). First story is 'The House in the Wood'. 4 colour plates. B/w text illustrations throughout. Covers are edge worn with chipping to the paper covering of the spine edges. Browning and foxing to contents which are otherwise clean.
Green cloth with white titles and borders. Cheap edition. B/w illustrations to song headings. Music by Horace Mansion. Songs in French. Spine and corners bumped. Covers slightly faded at edges. Large but faint child's name to front cover. Front free-endpaper removed and missing (possibly rear free-endpaper too). Hinges pulled and cracked. Some pencil scribbles to pages and other marks to margins. A working copy.
