Pretty pictorial boards with wraparound picture by Sybil Tawse. Colour frontis and b/w illustrations. 160 pages. 8.25 x 6.25". Spine and corners bumped. Spine has been stuck down with glue. Top of spine partly browned. There is a slight binding error of one page gathering being a couple of millimetres higher than the other pages, also glue has leaked at the first page of that gathering causing a tear in the two pages affected (54 & 55). Dustwrapper is grubby and edge worn and chipped, extensive tape repairs on verso of browned spine, loss at top and bottom. A few other tape repairs on verso.
Green spine with pictorial front board. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations. 5" x 3.75". Punch hole to front cover. Some marks to covers, with bumping and a bit of chipping. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Foxing to outer page edges. A few margin marks.

Inscription in ink to half-title page. Foxing throughout.

Name in pencil to front free-endpaper. Foxspots to page margins and textblock. Scarce dustwrapper is grubby and worn with loss, large section of loss to lower front panel.
Cloth backed boards with circular paper onlay to front. Green pictorial endpapers. 3 colour plates plus b/w or half tones to each page and many smaller b/w vignettes. Covers are edge worn, spine and corners bumepd. Covers a bit grubby. Some foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents. Small brown stain to edges of most pages (only affects textblock and outer page margins (not text or pictures). Inscription in ink to half-title.
Brown cloth with dark titles and decorations to spine and front cover. Colour frontis + b/w illustrations. 288 pages. Covers are very faded; unevenly. Spotting to front cover. Partially erased inscription to front endpaper. Foxing and page browning.
