Green cloth spine with dark titles and vignette. Front cover shows three children in a canoe. First story Tom's Pigs by Marjorie Seymour. Illustrated endpapers by Anne Anderson. Colour plates, colour and b/w illustrations. 200 pages. Spine and corners worn. Small tear in cloth at base of spine. Edges of boards exposed on rear cover where pictorial onlay has worn away. Endpapers browned. Minor worm damage to top corner of frontis. Clear tape repair to gutter of pages 154 and 155 where pages have pulled from stitching. Binding sound. Occasional foxspots but contents generally clean.
Pictorial card wraps - Rupert running after a tiny dragon. 1st story Rupert and the Top Hat. Backstrip worn with loss to top and browned tape repair to centre. Covers a little creased and rubbed with a few small marks. Small closed tear (no loss) to vertical edge of front cover. NOT price-cut. Name in belongs to box. Contents are a little grubby, pages 56-59 more so.

Covers rubbed, creased, foxed and worn. Rubbing to top & tail of spine with very slight loss. NOT price-cut. Name in belongs to box. Inside covers and text block grubby. A few minor marks to contents but generally clean.

Boards marked, edge-worn. Front joint split, cords still holding. Rear joint starting to crack. A few scattered foxspots and browning to page edges. Some hinges pulled. Binding is still generally tight. All plates present.
