Gift inscription in ink to half-title page. Else contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper appears to have suffered from snail damage at edges (loss to surface paper).

The Brown children go to stay with their Aunt Adelaide in London and Nurse Matilda has to be called in again. Small format. Blue boards with gilt titles and vignettes to covers. B/w text illustrations throughout. Spine bumped. Light foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper has clear adhesive film stuck to it causing the colour to 'bleed' a little. Spine is faded. End of silk ribbon is foxed and slightly frayed.
A feast of danger and adventure with Biggles & Co. Blue boards decorated with embossed scottie dogs, with red scottie dogs to spine. 6 colour plates. Spine slightly bumped and faded. Foxing, mainly to first few and last few pages and also textblock.
John & Mary Book No. 6. Yellow cloth spine, with pictorial covers. Colour illustrations. Some slight wear at cover edges. Contents clean.
The Ninth Adventure. Light and dark blue boards showing SS holding hands. B/w and a few two-tone illustrations. 120 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Heavy foxing. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper, ink name stamp to front of same. Page 23/4 has lower corner torn off (no missing text). Price-cut wrapper is edge worn and creased with some loss to top and tail of spine.
The sixth adventure. Pale blue boards with dark blue 'SS' symbols. B/w illustrations. 124 pages. ISBN: 034034335. Spine and corners bumped. Small rust spot to front cover. Foxing to textblock. Green frog ink stamp to top of front flap (with some slight ink transfer to facing endpaper), also one to verso of front flap. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and browned on verso.
Blue boards, gilt title to spine, 152 pages. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Heavy foxing, mainly to textblock. Price-cut wrapper is slightly edge rubbed, rear panel is a little grubby and there is slight foxing on the verso.
Green covers, black titles to spine. Colour frontis. 184 pages. Spine bumped. Textblock is grubby, foxing to contents. Price-cut wrapper is edge worn, slight loss to spine and corners with a brown paper repair to top of spine on verso. Wrapper is lightly damp stained on verso, rear panel is scuffed.
Blue covers, red title to spine. 6 colour plates. 184 pages. Damp staining to covers, which go through the first few corresponding pages. Foxing to outer page edges. Front endpaper is MISSING. Wrapper is edge-creased with a few closed tears and small nicks.
Glazed pictorial boards. 151 pages. Ex-lib. with usual markings, including surface paper damage to front pastedown; withdrawn stamps to pages of prelims. Damp marking to edges of some pages. Page 13/14 is taped back together with yellowing sticky tape. Foxing to outer page edges. Some margin marks. Book has been covered with clear adhesive film; some chipping to corners and edges; a bit of bumping. A reading copy.
A "Janet and Peter Adventure". In which the Secret Seven was formed - this was the very first Secret Seven book after which came the Secret Seven series. Pictorial boards. Colour pictures plus two-tone and b/w illustrations. 60 pages. Bumping, wear and chipping to spine and cover edges. Some small bits of loss to picture on spine. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. A few margin marks, but contents are still very good. Small piece of surface paper damage and remains of brown paper to rear endpaper. Illustrations are still lovely and bright.
