Etching hand-printed, signed and numbered by the artist, and tipped onto a special limitation page of thick laid paper. Around 100 illustrations by Charles van Sandwyk, with 16 tipped-in colour plates. Presented in a cloth-bound solander box. Top edge gilt. A stunning limited edition celebrating the centenary of a beloved classsic. This is no. 55 of 1000 copies. Minor bump to lower front edge of vellum spine (hard to photograph). Couple of minor 'dints' to top edge of text block, again, hard to photograph. Contents beautiful. Solander box is also fine. Contained in original Folio Society shipping box.

Two volumes in red cloth and cream titles with black and cream illustrations on front covers. The Jungle Book contains colour plates by Detmold and Just So Stories b/w text illustrations by the author. An attractive set. This edition has new binding (originally first published by Folio Society in 1991/1992). Small erased pencil mark to half-title of Jungle Book (and other small pencil marks) and top rear corner of same volume is bumped. Some light marks to slipcase and a bump to one corner (matching Jungle Book).
Red cloth and cream titles with black and cream illustrations on front covers. Cream title to spine. B/w text illustrations by the author. First published by the Folio Society in 1991, this is a reissue with a new binding. Ninth printing. A fine copy in red slipcase which has light scuff marks.
