B/w illustrations to text throughout. 316 pages. Spine bumped and rubbed. Corners worn with slight loss of boards. Some scuffing to covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Pages are lightly browned. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins and a couple of pages have light brown spots to them.

Children's illustrated classics. Green cloth with black titles labels and gilt titles. 8 Colour plates & b/w illustrations. ISBN: 0460050176. Spine and corners bumped, covers lightly edge rubbed. Small nick in cloth to front cover. Textblock is slightly grubby/foxed. A couple of small red crayon marks t front free-endpaper. Dustwrapepr is edge worn and creased with tears at lower corners of rear panel and a faded spine.

Green pictorial cloth with elaborate decorations in gilt, blue and red. 17 beautiful tipped-in colour plates plus b/w chapter headers. 349 pages. Edges untrimmed. Spine and corners bumped, small rubbed patch to top of spine. Some faint damp(?) staining to rear cover edges. There is a nibbled(?) patch to lower corner of rear cover (3cmx1cm). Endpapers lightly browned. Light foxing to contents. 1 plate has a light corner crease, all others are present and in fine condition. A few page margins are ragged where the pages have been opened roughly after binding.

Dark red-brown simulated leather cloth, stamped in gilt on both front and back covers with differing cupid designs. Gilt lettering and 4 gilt cupid designs on spine. White endpapers. 30 magnificent colour plates, mounted on vellum-like paper with black descriptive letterpress beneath and all framed with elaborate border design in black. Some light wear to top and tail of spine and corners. Rubbing away of gilt to bottom of front cover. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. All plates are present - 4 have minor corner creases.
Stunning blue, gold and red pictorial cloth. Dark blue and gold pictorial endpapers. Superb colour plates and b/w illustrations. Second printing. This copy would make a wonderful gift. Contained in a very good slip case that has a few marks and scuffs with some edge wear.
