Beautiful red cloth covers with elaborate gilt decoration. Colour plates and b/w chapter headers & tails. 185 pages, top edge red. Second printing. A lovely copy, appears unread. Contained in publisher's slipcase with some light shelf scuffing.

Three volumes in slipcase: Ali Baba; The Ugly Duckling; The Sleeping Beauty. Large volumes (12.25 x 8"). Each volume is cloth bound with colour illustrations. Limited edition of 2500 copies. Copy no. 853. Ali Baba is SIGNED by Ardizzone and Ugly Duckling is SIGNED by Jackson, Hersholt and Schwartz. Each volume is slightly bumped and rubbed to spine, Ali Baba has a small nick to centre of spine. There are some light fingermarks to page margins but generally the contents are clean. The slipcase is worn and the spine of the slipcase is browned.
Translated from French by Michelle MacGrath. Also contains story called The Fairy. Large format 11.75 x 9". Glazed pictorial boards. Colour illustrations. Creasing and bubbles to laminate on covers. Lower corners creased. Spine bumped and faded. Two small numbers stamped on verso of last text page. Contents generally clean but have slight musty smell.

Large format. Cloth spine. Two jigsaws (one each to pastedowns). Colour plates. B/w illustrations. First story is 'Riquet With The Tuft' by Perrault. Spine is grubby and worn. Corners are bumped. Jigsaws are COMPLETE and present. One painting has been completed.

2nd issue. Red cloth, gilt titles. Circular gilt vignette to front cover. 6 richly coloured plates mounted on green sugar-paper, plus numerous b/w illustrations (many full-page). Translated from the French by A.E. Johnson. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. 2 plates have corner creases. Some fingering to contents, mainly page margins. A couple of hinges are slightly cracked.Some light page browning and foxing to endpapers. Overall a nice copy of this scarce book.
