Adapted by Michael Bishop. Glazed illustrated boards. Colour illustrations throughout. Unpaginated. 11.5 x 8.5 inches. A lovely illustrated copy of this classic tale. ISBN: 0861631404. Base of spine and top corners slightly bumped. Wrapper lightly browned with some faint grubby marks on verso.
Cover shows Punch & Judy with Toby and Baby. Spine slightly bumped and grubby. Corners worn and cover edges lightly rubbed. Small crayon(?) marks to a couple of pages and crosssword puzzle done.
8 well-known fairy tales delightfully illustrated in colour. Introduction on the life of Hans Andersen by Green. Pink cloth covers with gilt titles. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Grubby marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. A few margin marks.

Colour frontis is 'The Home of the Mermaid'. Spine is very faded, with some foxspots. Corners very worn with top corner creased. Front and rear joints cracked and weak but remainder of binding sound. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Minimal foxing to contents.

Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows children playing each with a month on them. First story is 'The Girl Who Liked Fairy Tales. Pretty colour plates and two-tone text illustrations. 163 pages. Base of spine bumped. Minimal wear to spine and corners. A couple of hinges starting to crack. Just a odd fox spot otherwise contents clean. Dustwrapper is badly torn around bottom half of spine and along rear fold and into rear panel, with creasing but very little loss. Small tears and creasing to top of spine. A few other chips and tears to edges.
