Edges rubbed, corners worn, boards browned and a little grubby. New endpapers. Some professional repair to gutters and also some paper repair. Some pages creased and edge-worn (mainly A-E and V-Z). Grubby marks throughout.

Brown cloth spine, brown pictorial boards. Black endpapers. Colour illustrations and text decorations printed by Edmund Evans. Board edges rubbed, corners worn. Free front endpaper starting to detach from bottom. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Rear hinge split but binding hanging on. Page 49/50 and 55/56 is detached but present. Other hinges pulled. Contents therefore fragile in binding. A few grubby marks to contents.

Corners worn, boards a little browned. Cloth spine is fraying and has a couple of small pinholes to lower rear edge. Front joint split but binding thread holding. Contemporary gift inscription in ink to half-title page. Hinges pulled. A few margin marks.

Green cloth spine, yellow and green pictorial boards. Pretty colour pictures accompany the rhymes. Covers are edge worn and scuffed. Spine is worn with slight loss of cloth to top and tail and splits at both edges. Name in ink to front pastedown. Inscription in ink to free-endpaper which is detached but still present. Joints are cracked. Page 9/10 has a slightly ragged edge. Contents are a bit grubby but not too bad.
