Large format. Green pictorial cloth. First story is Submarine U93 by Gilson. Bumping and wear with some fraying to cloth at edges and corners. Front joint is cracked - close to broken in a couple of places. Page browning some foxing. All plates present.
Orange cloth, black title to spine. B/w illustrations. Colour frontis. The third story of the strange adventures of the secret island children. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. A couple of tiny indentations to top edge of front cover. Child's name and address in blue biro to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and text block else contents clean. Dustwrapper is edge chipped and torn with slight loss at spine and corners. Spine is browned and number '21' written in a circle to front panel.

Brown cloth spine with dark brown title and illustration, pictorial front board. Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations (mostly Wain but others also). Spine is grubby. Covers are edge worn and also grubby, a couple of small scratch marks to front cover. New endpapers. Some light foxing. Some colouring to some of the b/w illustrations and some erasing as well. There is a musty (tobbaco?) smell to the contents.

Ink inscription in To box on front endpaper and 1930 written to verso of frontis. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing.

Name in ink to creased front endpaper. Endpapers are marked with some light browning. A few marks to contents. Poor condition front panel and spine of dustwrapper present but have been stuck to stiff card.
