Red cloth spine with black titles. Pictorial boards with front showing a boy holding a terrier dog and rear showing a black kitten and three chicks. 4 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. Two pop-up scenes - In the Toy Shop and The Lord Mayor's Show. First story is "The Magic Gift". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers slightly scratched and grubby. Frontis has slightly ragged edges. Foxing and fingering to page margins else contents clean. Pop-ups in excellent condition.

Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial boards, front shows girl in green dress in foreground, boy in kilt and other girls behind. Colour plates, b/w and two-tone text illustrations. First story is "The Little Roundy Man Finds A Chimney". Spine bumped and slightly darkened. Covers are edge worn, rear cover is slightly grubby and scuffed. Pencil writing and doodles to front endpapers, crayon drawing and pencil doodles to rear endpapers. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins.
Red cloth spine. Front cover shows ice skaters. First story is 'When Hawkins Sailed the Sea'. Includes roughly 6 Louis Wain b/w text illustrations. Colour plates mounted on green paper. Spine and covers are edge worn. Rear cover is grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown (partially covering a Wain illustration). Tissue-guard to frontis torn with lower half missing. Inscription in pencil to top margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and foxing to text. One plate (opp page 272) has 1" closed tear.

Includes a couple of b/w illustrations of cats by Wain. Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Scratch mark to front cover. Heavy page browning to endpapers and lighter page browning to margins. Some foxing to textblock.
Nister No. 2000. Red cloth spine. Pictorial front cover depicting cat with kittens. Colour frontis. B/w illustrations every page, mostly of cats. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers edge rubbed/worn. Some light scuffing to the covers. Inscription in ink (dated 1916) to front free-endpaper. Some foxing and fingering to pages. Some light page browning throughout. Some page corner tips lightly creased.

Front cover shows girl in mop cap and pink/green gown with 2 boys in medieval clothes, one dressed as a jester. Red cloth spine with black titles. Pretty colour plates plus numerous b/w and two-tone illustrations. First story is "Rosalie, the Dark-Haired Princess". Board edges rubbed & worn, tail of spine rubbed & frayed. Boards scuffed and grubby. Joints cracked, rear joint starting to split at top. Front endpapers have cutouts of children glued down on them and some surface paper damage. Name in ink to belongs to box. Grubby marks to contents. Hinges pulled, binding a little worn but holding. 6 colour plates present.

Red cloth spine with black titles and vignette of children reading. Pictorial front board showing children with balloons. Colour plates plus b/w and two tone illustrations by many illustrators. 112 pages including book list. First story is Birds and Bubbles. Board edges rubbed & worn. Boards scuffed and scratched. Cloth spine faded but title still bold. Browning to contents. Bookplate to front pastedown. Inscription in ink dated 1923 to free front endpaper. Plate facing page 56 is detached. Colouring, and pencil scribbles to some b/w illustrations. Hinges pulled, binding is worn but holding. Musty odour present.
Cloth spine, dark green paper boards with pictorial onlay to front. 35 colour illustrations including half-title page and title page. All about 'Daddy Cat'. Covers are worn with some creasing and some slight surface paper damage. Spine bumped and rubbed. Contents are well fingered with creases and some small tears. Tiny patch of surface paper damage to lower margin of frontis (doesn't actually affect the illustration). Overall a good reading copy of a scarce Wain book.

Blue cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows girl and horse's head. Title on front cover reads School Girl's Stories. Colour frontis plus b/w illustrations. 128 pages. Includes two articles and b/w illustrations by Louis Wain. Spine and corners bumped, covers edge worn. Damp stain to base of spine and affecting lower inner corners of covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Tiny booksellers sticker to rear free-endpaper. Some light browning and foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby with damp staining to lower edges and some other marks, loss at edges.
Nister No. 584. Brown cloth spine. Pictorial paper covered boards shows Fully clothed Dandy Lion in top hat with a billboard in the background. Colour frontis of 'The Stork and the Owl'. B/w illustrations throughout. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Damp mark down edge of rear cover. Some scuffing. Award plate to front pastedown. Page browning; some other marks to pages.
Pictorial boards. Front cover shows Fox with cockrel. B/w illustrations throughout. Some cats by Wain. Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Front cover illustration is still bright. Some slight chipping of paper covering to spine. Small binding error of crease in paper to rear cover. Inscription in ink to verso of title-page (dated 1909) and one name crossed out and replaced with another. Some slight foxing and fingering to contents. Light tobacco smell to contents.
Green cloth spine. Colour pictorial front board. 4 colour plates. Two-tone and b/w illustrations, including some by Wain. Covers edge worn. Spine worn with split at base. Rear cover is slightly grubby. Name and date in ink to front free-endpaper. Front joint cracked and frontis missing. Ragged edges and margin tears to plates. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins.
