Being a true and veracious history of the eventful voyage of the S.S.Crocodile from Nowhere in particular to Anywhere in general. Large oblong format. Cloth spine, pictorial boards. Floral decorated endpapers. 12 colour plates and b/w illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners, some chipping. Scuff marks to covers. Front joint is a bit cracked. Page edge browning. Contents are still very good.

Very good condition.
Large format. 13 x 10 inches. Red cloth spine. Colour pictorial boards. 8 chromolitho moveable pictures. Pull the tab and the picture changes. B/w illustrations. Text in verse. Spine bumped and some light rubbing to cover edges. A few light spots to front edge of spine and some light scuffing to rear cover. Generally covers bright. Joints are cracked. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. The second moveable image is not working - could possibly be repaired. Otherwise, all others in excellent working order. Some light foxing and page browning and the pull-tabs are just a little grubby from fingering. Overall a super copy of a scarce moveable book.

No. 917. Pictorial front cover shows boy pushing girl in a wheelbarrow. 5 colour pop-up scenes. B/w text illustrations. This copy is SOLD WITH ALL FAULTS (too numerous to mention them all). Corners worn. Spine bumped and slightly rubbed. Remains of a small label to top corner of front cover. Rear cover is scuffed. Birthday greeting card stuck to front free-endpaper. Some pages are loose with ragged edges. All pop-ups in need of repairs and possibly have pieces missing. Slight grubby fingermarks to page margins. A very scarce book.

List of Nister books to rear endpaper and pastedown. Nister book No. 1803. Wear to lower edge of boards exposing surface paper. Boards a little grubby. Gift inscription in ink to front pastedown. Foxing and grubby marks throughout. One page torn at gutter edge and repaired with clear tape (not unsightly).

Nister book No. 3817. 'Our Darlings' series. Nursery Rhymes. Cloth spine, pictorial front board shows a red clothed elf and a little girl wearing a green spotted dress and a Dutch bonnet, riding on a broomstick. Tipped in colour frontis plus numerous b/w line drawings. Front board clean and bright, rear board a little grubby and stained, rubbed at vertical edge. Binding is fragile and loosening with some hinges pulled wide. Prize plate to front pastedown. Name in ink to top margin of frontis (not affecting frontispiece illustration in anyway). Foxing and grubby marks throughout.

One pop-up scene is edge creased, with corner repair. Scattered foxing.
