Red decorated cloth with gilt titles. 224 pages plus 16 page booklist to rear. 8 chromolithograph plates. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers scuffed and slightly grubby. Inscription in ink and a large label to front pastedown. Foxing to contents. One of the plates is detached with slightly ragged edges.
Text adapted for nursery readers by Lewis Carroll. Grey cloth spine, pictorial front board. Containing 20 enlarged and coloured versions of Tenniel illustrations, with a cover painted by E. Gertrude Thompson and produced by Edmund Evans, the leading Victorian colour printer. A delightful introduction for the very young to one of the most celebrated characters in children's literature. Boards and spine browned, boards scratched. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Front endpaper is MISSING also giving rise to 2" x 1" loss to the front pastedown at spine edged, cloth mull is exposed at front joint. Grubby marks to contents. Tissue guard to frontis is foxed. Hinges pulled but binding otherwise tight. A good reading copy.

Contemporary inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Top corner creases to contents and a few grubby marks.
Three-quarters blue calf leather binding, red title block with gilt title to spine. Marbled paper boards. Marbled text block. Hand-coloured frontis. xii + 346 pages. Spine is faded, scuffed and worn, small splits to sides of top & tail, slight loss to tail. Edges rubbed & worn. Boards scuffed. Joints cracked but binding tight. Foxing to prelims and last couple of pages. A few margin marks to contents.
