Top edge gilt. 398 pages to volume one and 426 pages to volume 2. 8" x 5.75". Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Spines browned and gilt faded. Inscription in ink to fly-leaf of each volume. Foxspots throughout.
First done into English by William Caxton, now abridged and retranslated by Robert Steele. Brown decorated cloth, gilt title to spine. 282 numbered pages, edges untrimmed. B/w plates. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Endpapers browned. Light tobacco smell to contents.
Sixth Edition (revised) in two volumes. Black cloth boards with red stripes top and tail, gilt title to spines, crest to front boards. All edges red. B/w illustrations. Top & tail of spines rubbed & frayed. Corners worn. Rear boards scuffed. Front joints starting to crack. Some annotation present mainly in volume 2.

Green cloth with gilt titles and vignettes. Plates are mounted on thick card with paper guards. No text. Copy no: 10. Spine and corners bumped with wear. Some foxing and a few small marks to covers. Front joint cracked, rear joint starting to crack. Light corner crease to both endpapers, title page and signature page. Some foxing and browning to contents. Foxing to first plate and just a couple of fox spots to second plate.
Large oblong format. Blue cloth spine. Beige boards, large colour pictorial onlay to front. Colour illustrations. Poems, songs and music. Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Prize plate to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Front joint has been repaired. Some light foxing and fingering but contents generally clean.

Light marks to rear board. Erased writing to half title page. Some foxing to prelims and page edges otherwise contents are clean. A few scratches to gilt edges.
