Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some uneven fading/marks to covers, with scuffing. Inscription in ink to front endpaper, which also has some corner creasing. Light corner crease to frontis, other plates are fine! Some foxing and browning.

He modelled the apple tree on one which grew outside his barn at Houghton House but it was pushed over by a mischievous cow soon after being drawn! Rose-grey pictorial cloth. Grey/white pictorial endpapers. 77 pages. 8.25 x 6.5". Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. A little foxing and browning to endpapers and outer page edges. Odd margin mark. All plates present. Creasing to a couple of tissue guards.

Foxing to some pages and outer page edges. Scarce original wrapper is very browned to spine, with tears and chips and creasing; loss to top, middle and bottom of spine; corners; some tape repairs to verso; damp mark along bottom of front panel.
