Almost very good condition.
40 tipped in colour plates, tissue guarded. Green cloth, gilt titles and decoration to front cover and spine. 143 pages. 11 x 8.5". Spine and corners bumped, covers edge rubbed. There is some very slight fraying of cloth to spine edges. There are a couple of tiny nicks to top edge of front cover. Discolouration to the rear cover (see picture). Foxing to page margins and textblock. Some hinges slightly cracked but binding still nice and tight. Plates all present and in fine condition.

Dustwrapper is just a little edge rubbed.

Frontis and 50 superb colour plates, tissue-guarded and mounted on green card at rear of book. 62 text pages. Green cloth, green titles and vignette to front cover. Spine bumped, worn and browned with small splits to the cloth. Top corners badly bumped with top rear corner almost split. Bumping to bottom corners. Bottom board edges bumped and rubbed. Covers a little grubby. Book plate to front pastedown. Browning to front endpapers and some of the mounts for the plates. Inscription in ink to half title page. Some hinges are cracked. Some fingering. Creasing to a couple of plates. Top of book is bowed.

Grey cloth, red titles. Enchanting b/w wood-engravings. 200 pages. (The true first edition, as this book was later published with colour plates). Spine and corners bumped. Fading to cover at top of spine and top front cover. Endpapers and textblock foxed. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn and torn with slight loss to top of spine, rear panel is very slightly grubby.
