But the naval race between Britain and Germany that led up to it occupied sixteen intensive years of preparation. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. A few foxspots. Page edge browning. Wrapper is edge-creased with nicks; browned to spine.

The redoubtable Mr Pengachoosa finds himself in fanciful situations quite unsuited to hamsters in general, but than, of course, he isn't a 'general' sort of hamster at all... Each story is founded in the real world of a girl and her pet hamster and each returns to it after considerable flights of fancy... Pink boards, gilt title to spine and vignette of hamster to front board. B/w illustrations. A little loss to margin of gutter edge of front endpaper. Small name in ink to front pastedown hidden by the front flap of dustwrapper. Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears and yellowing tape to verso at edges.
