Contents clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn, rubbed at top of spine, faded to spine and lightly scuffed to rear panel.

Index to Country Seats. 946 pages + 3 page booklist to rear of publications by J. Cary. Rebound with new boards, new leather, new endpapers. Some professional paper repair especially to map of UK which is missing a good portion of the UK (see photo). Text block heavily browned, contents also heavily browned and with foxing, some damp staining to margins, some more so than others, text is legible. All plates present with browning and foxing. Overall a good copy for a book 200 years old.

Large format. Blue cloth with gilt titles. Colour photos and maps. ISBN: 1859180957. Wear to cover edges; some marks to outer page edges. Wrapper is edge-creased with some chips and tears/nicks, minimal loss.
Brown leather bindings. In Familiar Letters From a Gentleman here to His Friend Abroad. Both volumes have NEW spines, with original covers laid down. Raised bands and title labels to spines. Some joints are strengthened with white cloth tape. Volume I: Front endpaper is MISSING; is 5th edition 1732; scuffing and wear to covers; inscription in ink to front pastedown. Volume 2: Is 3rd edition 1732; some pencil tick marks to margins; scuffing and wear to covers; inscription in ink to front pastedown. Front joint is cracked; browning and foxing to pages.

Burgundy cloth boards, gilt title to spine, front board has five images in b/w imprinted. B/w photographic endpapers. Full of b/w photos. Pictorial slip case is very good - Some indentations and light marks; wear to edges; couple of nicks at corners.
