Board edges worn, boards grubby. Bookplate to front pastedown. All plates present. Binding worn but tight. A few grubby marks throughout.

Front and rear joint very tight. Front joint pulled between endpaper and frontispiece. All plates present. Contents grubby.

Other b/w illustrations. 2" split to top of spine at rear edge; with fraying to cloth. Bumping and wear, with some chipping to cloth at edges. Front endpaper is nearly detached; rear endpaper IS detached, but loosely inserted. A few marks to margins. A reading copy. 12 coloured plates are present and correct.

'A gallery of delights designed for the amusement and instruction of the young with several hundred illustrations'. New Edition. Large format. Cloth spine with orange decorated boards. Hand-coloured illustrations. 32 pages (printed on one side only). Covers are worn and scuffed. New endpapers. Frontis is MISSING! Light foxing and grubby fingermarks to pages. A decent copy of an early edition.
6 volumes. Green cloth, gilt vignettes to front cover. Gilt decorations to spine. 365 hand-coloured plates. All volumes have faded from green to brown. Varying degrees of bumping and chipping, with some splits to corners and top and tails of spines. Volume I - Rear Joint has almost broken (very weak)- probably closer to good condition; Volume III - Loose pages - 227-230; Volume IV - Loose pages - again 227-230; Volume VI - Plate page 13 has light mark across uncoloured area. ALL volumes have varying degrees of foxing and margin marks. Inscriptions in ink to front endpapers of all volumes. ALL plates are present and exquisitely hand-coloured!

Book also contains chapters on fishing the Minnow, The Creeper, The Stonefly, and The Worn in clear water, with an extra plate showing the hooks necessary therefore. Second edition. This book has been expertly rebacked with original spine laid down. Plates are all present - but plate 4 is missing its tissue-guard. Bumping and wear to spine and corners; a few scuff marks. Bookplate to front pastedown. Ink stamp to half-title page. A few light margin marks and browning; a little foxing.

Limited to 1250 numbered copies. Written in French by Perrault and Englished (sic) by G.M.Gent. Decorative paperboards, blue cloth spine with gilt title. Hand-coloured illustrations to chapter headers. The text-paper is Dutch Mould-Made and the cover paper is Chinese. 128 pages. 6.25 x 4 inches. Uneven fading to spine. Some scuffing and wear to covers. Corners are bumped. Some page browning. Foxing to outer page edges.

Cream card wraps with hole to front cover to peep through, decorative paper onlay to rear cover. 6 hand-coloured scenes bound accordion style. Covers are edge worn and a little grubby. Three of the paper folds have been replaced, the first two very neatly and have been coloured to match what was previously there (when the book is closed you can see the colour), the other fold replaced did not need colour. Other folds have small tears or old tape repairs. The scenes are all in excellent condition, without major faults.

1200 feet long, 76 feet below high water mark, was 8 years building and cost Â£446,000, opened the 25th day of March 1843. Bound accordion style, 4 hand--coloured scenes (includes front cover which has 2 holes cut out - peepholes). Contained in a slipcase with onlay to front (same as front cover of book). Rear cover is creased and colour (black) has been touched up to rear cover and edges of front cover. I think that the slipcase has been repaired/reinforced.
