This facsimile edition has been reproduced from the manuscript Egerton MS 747 in The British Library through digital photography by Laurence Pordes, and printed at The Bath Press, Glasgow, on Phoenix Motion Xenon paper. This edition of 1000 copies has been bound for the members of The Folio Society by Smith Settle of Otley in full goatskin leather, with leather onlays, over bevelled boards, blocked with a design by David Eccles, with handmade laid-paper endleaves from the Fabriano mill. Contained in a green solander box, with smaller separate 'Commentary' book by Minta Collins containing the list of plants by Sandra Raphael. This is copy 503 of 1000. A fine set contained in solander box which has a small black mark to top front corner and a few light score marks to rear. These faults on the box are very minor and do not show up in photos.

This facsimile edition printed in 2007 (originally published in 1931 by The Golden Cockerel Press), by Memminger MedienCentrum on Favini feltmarked laid paper and bound by G. Lachenmaier in full goatskin leather with Fabriano Tiziano endleaves. All edges gilt. This edition is Limited to 2750 numbered copies. Contained in solamander case, with gilt title to spine. This edition also includes a thin volume of Essays by Dreyfus & Gibbings. This is copy 1437 of 2750. A fine set contained in publisher's solander case which is lightly bumped at corners, lightly rubbed at lower edges and lightly scratched to rear - these faults are too minor to be seen on photos.

Two volumes, leather spine & corners, three raised bands to spine, gilt title to label to spine. Marbled paper boards. B/w plates. Volume II binding appears to be a more modern binding than volume I. Both volumes expertly repaired, volume I has contemporary notes bound in at front. Some paper repair also. Address stamp to volume I title page (small). Foxing and dampstaining affecting plates as well as text mainly to volume II. Marbled paper boards of volume I are scuffed. Bindings of both volumes are nice and tight.
Second Edition. Bound in full leather, 3 raised bands to spine, gilt title and vignettes to spine. Maps to endpapers. A few colour photos. ISBN: 1845240642. A few light scuff marks to boards and one corner lightly rubbed else a lovely binding. A few grubby marks to prelims. Last section of book (bibliography & index) is poorly cut by binder but this does not affect the text. Pencil tick marks to bibliography. Text block a little grubby. Slight musty odour present.
