Blue Nigerian Goatskin spine with gilt title, purple vendome cloth sides. Gilt endpapers. Originally published in 1859. 69 pages. In superb condition. Still with original slip case, which has large pictorial onlay to one side; just a few light marks to edges.

Many hundred engravings on wood by Branston. This has been rebound in leather, with darker original leather spine laid down. Wear and scuffing to covers, with some chipping. Some damp markings and foxing internally. Nicks to a few page margins; a little loss.

In which Pooh builds a house and Tigger is unbounced... Beautifully rebound edition. Rebound by Sangorski in red leather, with gilt vignettes to front and rear cover. Gilt title to spine, which also has raised bands. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. B/w illustrations. An exquiste edition! Front cover is ever so slightly bowed. A little fading to spine. Bumping to a couple of corners, with a bit of wear. Scuff down rear edge of spine, so that red of leather has rubbed away. Gilt is vibrantly bright. Light foxing, mostly to endpapers and prelims; a few small margin marks. This would still make a wonderful gift for the Pooh Bear collector!

Includes SIGNED slip from the Chairman & managing director of Methuen Children's Books and the Chairman of The Chaucer Press stating that there are in fact 300 copies of this specific edition, not 490. Contained in slip case that has uneven fading and some grubby marks.

A descriptive account of the various regiments now comprising the Queen's forces, from their first establishment to the present time (vols I & II) and In India and the Colonies (vol III). Large format. Three-quarter leather binding, volumes 1 & 2 black leather with grey cloth sides, volume 3 burgundy leather with blue cloth sides. Gilt title to spines. Each volume has colour vignette to title page with tissue guard in place. Beautiful colour plates. Volume I has a cup ring stain on front side, is rubbed at corners. Front hinge between contents and list of illustrations is broken. Tissue guard is present, is creased with a few foxspots and a few small tears to gutter edge. Volume II is rubbed at corners. Tissue guard present but browned and worn at gutter edge. Prelims are detached (title page to vi of contents due to broken hinge. Between pages 262-263 a page containing three b/w photos of men in uniform has been expertly inserted. Hinge between page 264 and 265 broken. Volume III is rubbed at corners with slight loss of leather to base of spine. Tissue guard is missing between frontis and title page. Front section detached from title page to page vi of contents, cracked joint between title page and frontis. Pages 3-6 not bound in (but present). All plates are present throughout the set and in excellent condition. A few foxspots thoughout. A few cracked/pulled hinges. Some pencil annotation present to margins (comparatively little).
