No. 26 in the Target Series. "Sanders of the River," who with a handful of Houssas, and a steam launch, kept order in a Central African territory larger than Great Britain. As soon as native Chiefs realised that "Sandi" had gone the fat was in the fire. This story stells of his recall and how he restored peace to the land. Red cloth boards, black title to spine. Endpapers and text block browned. Pictorial dustwrapper is worn at top & tail of spine, lightly edge-worn and is scuffed and grubby to rear panel.

Large format. Cloth spine. A Story of the Son of Robin Hood. 8 Colour plates and 80 photographs. Based on Columbia Pictures' Technicolour adventure drama 'Rogues of Sherwood Forest'. Spine is bumped and browned. Bumping also to corners, with wear. Grubby marks to endpapers and some page margins. A little foxing. Colour plates are all present.
Uncle Toby Tales. A charming story book for children, printed in clear, large type. Brown cloth spine, pictorial paper boards. Pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations and colour plates. 32 pages. Undated. Board edges lightly rubbed, small dent to top front edge of board. Matching pictorial dustwrapper is edge-worn with a few closed tears and small chips, a little grubby.
An Uncle Toby Book. Brown cloth spine, chequered pictorial front board. B/w text illustrations plus colour plates. Ebenezer Bristles is a hedgehog. Boards marked, edges rubbed, corners worn. Sticker over name to verso of frontispiece. A few margin marks. Binding a little loose to front hinge.

Board edges rubbed. A little surface paper damage to rear board which is also scratched. Some hinges are cracked. Light browning to endpapers. Some foxing. Grubby marks to page margins.

Twenty-second year of issue. Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows child with a plate of fruit. 12 colour plates plus two-tone and b/w illustrations to text throughout. Pictorial endpapers by Alan Wright. First story is The Magic Knocker by Christine Chaundler. 264 pages. 10" x 7.25". Spine bumped and worn with splits to top and bottom. 5.5" split in cloth at front edge. Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges rubbed and scuffed. Scuffing and some marks to boards. Front joint cracked at top. Endpapers browned. Name and address in ink to verso of front endpaper. Ink tracing of picture beneath on tissue guard for frontis. 3 plates are MISSING. Foxing and some grubby margin marks.
Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows Queen of Hearts baking, rear board shows two ladies, one with spinning wheel by Brisley. Illustrated endpapers. 4 colour plates plus 150 b/w illustrations all by Lambert. Spine bumped with wear and a little wrinkled. Wear to corners and cover edges with some loss of surface. Bump to outside edge of front cover. Some rippling and light pink marks to endpapers. One hinge cracked. 2" tear to title page alongside spine. Most pages are clean. All colour plates present but one has not been printed straight on the page, marks to verso of another.
