Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. One volume is text, the other volume contains folding maps (46) in publisher's map box. Boards badly marked. Spines nice and bright. Text block browned. Previous owner's name label to front pastedown. A few scattered foxspots. All maps present in map box which is fraying to base of spine.

Pictorial cloth backed boards. Decorated cream endpapers. Delightful colour illustrations facing each page of verse. B/w vignettes to text. 64pp. Due to original binding technique, 4 page numbers duplicated with a little star beside the number. Oblong, 11 x 8.5". Boards just slightly grubby, corners lightly rubbed. Minor (faint) smudge to front pastedown. A few minor grubby marks to contents which appear lovely and bright. Overall a very nice copy indeed.

New Impression. Lovely blue cloth covers with blind stamped design to front and gilt title to spine. Numerous illustrations in b/w throughout. 348 pages. 7.5 x 5". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Pencil writing to front endpapers has been erased. Tissue-guard to frontis is browned and there is some light foxing to the contents. The binding is slightly pulled causing contents to be a little loose.

Front joint is cracked (between endpaper and title-page). Contents are foxed and slightly grubby. A nice copy overall.
