A story of Lancashire life in the factories, told in Lancashire dialect. Brown cloth boards, black titles and circular vignette to front board. B/w plates. 311 pages. Top & tail of spine lightly shelf worn. Boards clean. Text block lightly browned. Joints just starting to crack. Endpapers browned. Hinges slightly pulled but binding tight. A few foxspots present. Undated.

Edited by Andrew Lang. Dark blue cloth, blind decoration to front cover, gilt vignette & title to spine. Top edge gilt. B/w illustrations. Boards rubbed at edges and a little grubby, scuffed. Spine is browned and worn top & tail. Contemporary inscription in ink to front endpaper. Text block browned. Hinges pulled but binding is tight. A few light margin marks.
