Almost very good condition. Red cloth spine with black titles and vignette of children reading. Pictorial front board showing children with balloons. Colour plates plus b/w and two tone illustrations by many illustrators. 112 pages including book list. First story is Birds and Bubbles.
Board edges rubbed & worn. Boards scuffed and scratched. Cloth spine faded but title still bold. Browning to contents. Bookplate to front pastedown. Inscription in ink dated 1923 to free front endpaper. Plate facing page 56 is detached. Colouring, and pencil scribbles to some b/w illustrations. Hinges pulled, binding is worn but holding. Musty odour present.
