Brown cloth spine with dark brown title and illustration, pictorial front board. Colour plates plus b/w text illustrations (mostly Wain but others also). Spine is grubby. Covers are edge worn and also grubby, a couple of small scratch marks to front cover. New endpapers. Some light foxing. Some colouring to some of the b/w illustrations and some erasing as well. There is a musty (tobbaco?) smell to the contents.
Pictorial boards. Front cover shows girl walking a large dog in the snow. Colour plates and b/w illustrations. First item is "Cheerful Conversation". 1 b/w Louis Wain illustration entitled "A bogus Father Christmas". Spine slightly bumped and grubby. Corners worn. Rear cover is slightly grubby. Endpapers have been professionally replaced. Contents are browned and foxed.
Red cloth boards with decorations to spine & front, pictorial onlay to front cover shows two children playing in a rock pool. Bevelled edges. Mounted colour plates plus full-page colour and b/w illustrations throughout. 336 pages plus four pages publisher adverts 'Autumn Announcements'. Boards rubbed and browned with some fraying to cloth. Front endpaper is missing. Contents have grubby finger marks mostly to margins.

Large format. Cloth spine. Front cover shows a young woman driving with a dog in the passenger seat. First story is 'Great-Great-Grandmother's Christmas' by Moore. Colour plates and line drawings. Spine is faded, browned and has split to base; some chipping. Scuffing marks to covers. Bumping and wear to corners. Title page is MISSING! A few hinges are pulled. Browning to outer page edges and some page margins, which also have a few small tears. A reading copy.
Story told in verse. Square format. Green boards, circular onlay to front cover. 46 pages. Full-page colour illustrations. Spine rubbed with splitting and wear to top. Surface paper loss to top front of front board. Faint name in ink and small mark to front endpaper. A few scattered fox spots to contents. Binding firm.

Blue & red pictorial endpapers by Brisley. Colour plates. Full page four tone illustrations plus two tone illustrations. Spine bumped and darkened. Corners worn. Front cover bright. Rear cover soiled. Mark to front endpaper. Occasional margin marks to contents.
2 volumes bound in one. Dark green textured cloth, gilt title to spine. 12 colour plates and numerous b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. 2.5" split to top of front edge of spine. Covers a little grubby. Name in ink to front endpaper and pencil writing to pastedown. Front joint cracked by index and first page of index is partially detached. One gathering pulled with ragged edges. Foxing and browning to pages and plates, worst at edges. All plates present.
