Colour plates mounted on green paper, b/w illustrations throughout. First story is "The Golden Passports" by Lee. Covers are edge worn. Spine has been rebacked with red cloth. There is a section of surface paper missing to lower corner of rear cover. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Name plate to verso of frontis. Tiny booksellers sticker to rear pastedown. Page corner tips are creased and there is some light fingering to page margins.

Inscription in ink to verso of title-page (dated 1909) and one name crossed out and replaced with another. Some slight foxing and fingering to contents. Light tobacco smell to contents.
