Did you know...Prolific British illustrator Charles Robinson was born on this day in 1870. His father and two brothers were also illustrators. He served an apprenticeship as a printer whilst attending evening classes in art. During his career, he illustrated many Fairy Tales, including 'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland' and 'Grimm's Fairy Tales'.

B/w illustrations by various artists. 412 pages plus 24 page publisher advert to rear. All edges gilt. Bumping and wear to over edges. A few marks to covers and uneven fading to rear. Reward plate to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Some page browning.

A book written in 1915 "for the amusement of my wife and myself at a time when life was not very amusing" - A.A. Milne. Originally published in 1917 with illustrations by H.M. Brock. 269 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Covers grubby. Top corner of front free-endpaper has been neatly removed. Front joint cracked (between endpaper and half-title). Foxing to contents. Some hinges cracked causing contents to be a little loose.
