Blue cloth boards with white decorative borders and embossed white illustration of girl and boy to front. Bevelled edges. Colour frontispiece entitled 'Preparing for the Flower Service'. B/w illustrations by various artists. 412 pages plus 24 page publisher advert to rear. All edges gilt. Bumping and wear to over edges. A few marks to covers and uneven fading to rear. Reward plate to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Some page browning.
Peach pictorial binding, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. 258 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Compass(?) hole to rear cover, and some scratching of cloth to front cover. Rear joint is broken at top half. Vertical crease to front free-endpaper and prelims. Foxing throughout. Large tears to preliminary pages.

Beige decorated cloth. B/w illustrations. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is grubby with creasing; edge-tears and chips; a few pieces of loss.

A few margin marks.
Black textured cloth, gilt title to spine.Beautiful chromolithograph plates. B/w text illustrations. Contains January 1892 to December 1893. Spine bumped and worn with splits to bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Covers a little marked. Joints beginning to crack. Some hinges cracked. Front endpaper missing. A few pages are partially detached. Foxing throughout, especially to endpapers. Grubby margin marks. Closed tear to top of one page.

Spine bumped with tiny nicks to cloth at base. A little wear to corners. Spine slightly darkened. Odd small mark to covers. Ink inscription to front endpaper. Light browning to verso of frontis and to one of publication pages at end of book. Light foxing, mainly to endpapers and page edges. One gathering pulled, pages 131-138. Contents generally clean.
