Rules sheet is present but has pen scribble, text still readable. Contained in original box which is edge worn, one of small flaps and part of side detached at bottom. Slightly grubby and scratched.

Second Edition. Heavy wear to spine and corners. Splits to cloth at ends of spine. Covers grubby, spine browned. First gathering is detached, from front endpaper to page 16. Another gathering detached, pages 145 to 160. Joints cracked. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper, ink name to verso of frontis. Heavy foxing to tissue guard and title page. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean.

Creases to top corners of covers, front is worst. Slight wear to cover edges. Rear cover slightly grubby. Ink inscription to front pastedown dated 1926. Staples rusty. Centre pages are detached at bottom staple. A few corner tips creased and some foxing but otherwise contents clean.
