Red pictorial cloth shows character fishing, geese on bank behind. With about 200 illustrations. 9.5 x 7.5". 192 pages. Spine bumped, worn and darkened with nicks to cloth at top edge and 1" split to rear edge at base. Corners bumped and worn. Covers grubby, small marks to rear cover. Gilt rubbed. Covers possibly slightly faded. Both joints and a couple of hinges cracked. Pen and pencil writing to front endpaper. Browning to endapers and half-title page. Marks and grubby fingermarks throughout.
Red pictorial cloth, gilt girl sat in armchair reading, gilt titles, silver vignettes and black decoration. Containing nearly 300 illustrations. 9.5 x 8". 192 pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some darkening to covers, rear cover is grubby with small light stain to top edge. Front joint and one hinge cracked. Small bookseller's label to rear pastedown. Some light browning and foxing otherwise contents clean.

Blue & white frontis and numerous b/w illustrations. 192 pages. 9.5" x 7.5". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine a little browned. Red mark to rear board and dark mark to front board. Some foxing and a few scratches. Both joints cracked showing webbing beneath. Several hinges cracked. Front end paper is missing. Browning to endpaoers. Corners cut off rear endpaper. Foxing to prelims and page edges plus tissue guard. Some grubby marks to margins.

Corners bumped and very worn. Board edges scuffed. Rear board browned and grubby. Endpapers browned. Erased pencil writing to front endpaper which is creased. Foxing and some grubby marks.

Colour frontis (by Wain featuring a crocodile and a bear), b/w and two-tone text illustrations throughout, many Wain cats. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Rear cover just a little grubby. Inscription in ink to half-title. Grubby fingermarks to some page margins.
Large format. Attractive pictorial green cloth with gilt title to front cover, black title to spine and bevelled edges. Floral decorated endpapers. 104 pages, all edges gilt. B/w illustrations to text throughout. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. A few light marks to covers else bright and clean. Inscription in ink to half-title and a small ink mark to verso of front-endpaper. Half-title and last text page are lightly browned. One page has a horizontal tear to centre of page. Some light fingermarks to page margins otherwise a nice, clean copy.
Small format. Red cloth with gilt title/title box and black borders and decorations. Out-of-door stories for the Little Ones. Grubby marks and some scuffing to covers. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges.

Colour plates plus b/w and two-tone text illustrations throughout, many Wain cats. Covers are edge worn and grubby to rear. Spine bumped. Endpapers browned. Pencil writing (name and date) to title-page. Contents clean.
Burgundy cloth spine. Front board shows 2 children on ice-skates, carrying a large kite! With about 200 illustrations, including a few Louis Wain cat illustrations. Spine bumped. Corners and cover edges rubbed and worn. Rear cover slightly grubby. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers browned. Odd margin mark/grubby fingermark. Light browning to pages 148/149. Contents otherwise very good. A nice copy.

Green pictorial paper boards showing two tabby cats and a dog to front, red title to front, black title to spine. B/w animal illustrations throughout, many of cats and dogs. Not paginated. Edges rubbed, corners worn. Much of back strip missing but title can be made out. Boards have a nice, clean appearance. One or two minor margin marks and tiny tears else contents nice. A nice copy of a scarce Wain title.
Stories told to relieve a little girl of the tedium of a sick bed. Red pictorial cloth with gilt titles. 117 pages. Floral decorated endpapers. 3 full-page b/w illustrations. Spine bumped and very slightly faded. Covers are ever so slightly grubby. Heavy foxing to first few and last few pages. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. A few light fingermarks but contents generally clean. A nice copy of a very scarce Victorian children's book.
