Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial boards, front shows girl in green dress in foreground, boy in kilt and other girls behind. Colour plates, b/w and two-tone text illustrations. First story is "The Little Roundy Man Finds A Chimney". Spine bumped and slightly darkened. Covers are edge worn, rear cover is slightly grubby and scuffed. Pencil writing and doodles to front endpapers, crayon drawing and pencil doodles to rear endpapers. Some grubby fingermarks to page margins.

Covers slightly grubby with scuffing and small amount of scribble to rear cover. New endpapers. Belongs to box completed in pencil. Fingering to lower margins, mostly in first half of book. One colour plate partially detached with tear to inner margin.

Name and address in ink to front endpaper. Foxing and general grubbiness to contents throughout. Some hinges are cracked causing contents to be a little loose. One plate has 2" tear at top of inner margin.

Paper covering rear joint split for 1" at top and bottom. Nick to outside edge of front endpaper. Dated ink inscription to verso of frontis. A couple of hinges cracked. Brown mark, mostly to inner margins of two pages, one of which is a two-tone illustration page. A few fox spots and fingermarks but generally clean otherwise.
