Blue cloth with picture of ship to front cover. Colour frontis. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some scuffing to covers, grubby marks. Front joint next to frontis is cracked and a bit weak. Some foxing.
A mix of stories and verses. Cloth spine, pictorial boards, front cover shows two children on a sledge on ice. 8 colour plates plus b/w illustrations. Spine bumped and slightly faded. Corners worn. A few light scratches to rear cover. Joints just starting to crack. Foxing to endpapers and text block, last text page is browned. Just an odd fingermark to contents and looks like small staple(?) indentations to margins of first pages.
Coloured picture book for the nursery. 11.5 x 8.5". Blue decorated cloth. 16 colour illustrations. Printed one side on untearable paper. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Light damp stain to top 2" of rear cover. Endpapers browned. New front free-endpaper. Foxing and some grubby fingering, showing mainly on unprinted sides of pages. Small ink mark to one page (unprinted).
Red boards, cloth spine. Pictorial onlay to front. 8 colour tipped-in plates by "BS". 64 pages. 10.5 x 8". Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers scuffed. Last text page and rear of frontis mount are browned. Foxing to contents. One plate has had a pencil grid drawn onto it. Light tobacco smell to contents.
Off-white cloth with orange titles and pictorial onlay to front cover. Pretty colour and b/w illustrations accompany short verses for children. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Grubby marks to covers. Inscription in ink to front endppaer. Margin marks and some foxing. A couple of small page margin tears.

Green cloth, with gilt lettering and vignette to spine and front cover. Illustrated frontis by MD Spooner. 12 Colour plates, plus many b/w illustrations. Spine is faded. Front endpaper is MISSING. Foxing to prelims, outer page edges and some pages throughout book. Wrapper is price-cut with tears and ships; couple of tape repairs to verso. Some loss to wrapper at corners.

Frontis is very creased; appears to at one time have been folded. Some damp marks. A reading copy.
