Large format. Red cloth spine, pictorial boards. 64 pages. Illustrated with colour plates. Spine bumped, corners worn. A few small dents to board edges. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Endpapers lightly browned. Foxing to prelims and outer page edges. Top corner of first page has been torn out (not affecting text). Generally a very nice copy.

Almost very good condition.
Comus is the pseudonym of R.M. Ballantyne. Red embossed cloth with gilt title and vignette to front. Eight colour plates. Contains music accompanied by the verse and a short story. Spine and corners worn. Damp stain to lower edge of front cover (4.5 x 1") affects the lower edges of the front endpapers and first 12 pages (including 3 plates - margins only, pictures not affected). Previous owner's name and address in ink to front endpaper. Some light foxing and fingering, a small closed tear and light creasing to front endpaper. Not as bad as it sounds, still a nice copy.
