Blue cloth, gilt titles. Pictorial onlay to front cover shows two girls on a sledge. Pale green floral endpapers. Colour plates, two-tone and b/w text illustrations. All edges gilt. First story is "The Three Princesses". Bumping and wear to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Front joint is cracked and partially repaired. Name in ink to half-title page and transferred to verso of front endpaper. Frontis is partially detached. Foxing. Some margin marks; colouring to some illustrations.

Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers grubby with stains and marks. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper. A few grubby marks to contents including light stain to bottom corners of last few pages. One colour plate detached with a ragged edge. A few fox spots.
