Large format. Yellow cloth covers with green titles and vignettes. 20 tipped-in colour plates. 134 pages. 11" x 8.5". Spine and corners bumped. Damp stain to edge of rear cover. Covers are slightly marked. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Endpapers browned and some foxing to contents. Creases to some plates and large crease to plate opposite page 16.
Blue pictorial cloth, gilt titles. Pictorial endpapers. Colour frontis plus numerous b/w text and full-page illustrations. A book written in 1915 "for the amusement of my wife and myself at a time when life was not very amusing" - A.A. Milne. Originally published in 1917 with illustrations by H.M. Brock. 269 pages. Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Covers grubby. Top corner of front free-endpaper has been neatly removed. Front joint cracked (between endpaper and half-title). Foxing to contents. Some hinges cracked causing contents to be a little loose.

Burgundy cloth boards, black titles. B/w illustrations, some folding. 550 pages including index. Third impression. Spine faded, split to front edge with fraying, rear edge has a couple of small holes in cloth. Corners lightly rubbed. Boards just a little stained/marked. Inscription in ink to top edge of front endpaper messily crossed out. Text block browned. Tear to fold of folding illustration on page 84 (no loss). Previous owner's address label to rear pastedown.

Dark red-brown simulated leather cloth, stamped in gilt on both front and back covers with differing cupid designs. Gilt lettering and 4 gilt cupid designs on spine. White endpapers. 30 magnificent colour plates, mounted on vellum-like paper with black descriptive letterpress beneath and all framed with elaborate border design in black. Some light wear to top and tail of spine and corners. Rubbing away of gilt to bottom of front cover. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. All plates are present - 4 have minor corner creases.
Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Embossed border and gilt picture to front cover. 16 attractive tipped-in, tissue-guarded and captioned colour plates. 235 pages. 8.25 x 6.25". Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Endpapers lightly browned. Foxing to contents. All plates present and in fine condition.

Spine faded with splash mark. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Joints and some hinges cracked. Endpapers partly browned. Large foxspots to textblock. There is a musty smell to contents. Beautiful plates bright, contents generally clean.
Brown cloth boards, black titles. 181 pages. Cloth spine split along front edges and also to lower half of title to spine. Boards a little marked and stained. Front joint split at bottom but still tight. A few marks to contents.
Large format. Blue cloth, gilt titles with gilt vignette. 40 tissue-guarded tipped in colour plates. xxiv and 143 pages. Unfortunately the spine, rear cover and lower spine corner of front cover have been 'touched up' with some kind of blue ink (no idea why - sorry). There is a light damp stain to the edge of the front cover. One plate has a couple of tiny edge chips and another has a tiny piece of surface paper rubbing. There is some foxing to the contents. If it wasn't for the 'touching up' of the covers this would be a very good copy.
