A Comedy in Four Acts. Large format. Elaborately decorated blue/lilac cloth covers, large gilt vignette and titles to front and spine. Illustrated endpapers. 22 beautiful tissue-guarded colour plates and b/w text illustrations.198 pages. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Spine is slightly faded but the gilt is still bright. There is heavy foxing to the first few and last few pages and also to the textblock, and the odd small foxspot to the contents, otherwise contents are clean. Plates all present and in fine condition.
Title inside is "Mother Goose and Her Friends Tommy Tucker's Stories". Stories based on mother goose nursery rhymes. Red cloth with gilt title to spine and vignette of a boy laying down and reading a book to front board. Blue pictorial endpapers. 12 tipped-in colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. 361 pages. Top edge gilt. Rubbing and wear to top & tail of spine. Browning to endpapers. All plates present. Text block browned.

Most of front panel is still present, showing picture of the Famous Five.
