Black boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. ISBN: 0340423390. SIGNED by author to front endpaper. Also a gift inscription (not from author), in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Page browning. Wrapper is price-cut with some edge-creasing.
Cream boards with large colour picture to front cover. Full page colour illustrations; all pages printed on only one side. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some grubby marks and spotting to covers. Damp mark along top edge of rear cover. Light foxing and some margin marks internally.
Retold for Boys and Girls by Byron. Large format. Blue cloth with dark illustrations and gilt titles. 12 colour plates. B/w text illustrations. 188 pages. Bumping to corners. A few mottled fade marks to spine. Inscription in ink to front pastedown. Some grubby marks and foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper has front flap MISSING, with creasing, tears and chips; loss to top and tail of spine and corners. Wrapper is also grubby.

Pictorial dustwrapper is creased and edge-worn, loss to top and tail of spine, chip to rear corner, light scribble to front panel, front flap is detached but present.
