Blue cloth, pictorial front cover and spine. Gilt titles. 551 b/w illustrations throughout. 472 pages. 11 x 8.5". Bumping and wear to edges; some chipping/fraying to cloth at corners and top and tail of spine. Uneven browning/scuffing to covers. Joints are a bit cracked. Name to verso of front endpaper. Foxing and grubby marks throughout.
Tales from the Thousand and One Nights. White cloth, gilt titles and decoration. Colour plates. Second printing. A few light brown marks to boards. Contained in publisher's slipcase with light rubbing to corners.

Covers slightly grubby with a couple of small dents to edge of rear cover and a small rubbed patch to top of front cover. Damp staining to lower edges, also affectings some page and plate margins. Name plate to front pastedown. Inscription in pencil to front free-endpaper. Heavy foxing to contents. Faint musty smell to contents.

Wrapper is torn and chipped, with a large piece of loss to bottom edge of front panel; other smaller pieces of loss to corners. Wrapper is also creased and worn. Numbers written in colour to front flap. All plates present.

Spine is browned. A little bumping to spine and corners. A few marks to covers. Bookplate to front pastedown. Some light page finger markings. All plates present.

Light musty smell (cigarettes?) to contents and a light damp stain affecting top page corner tips of some pages. Dustwrapper is edge worn with small chips/tears but no loss.
Containing an account of his seven surprising adventures. A facsimile edition of 1819 edition published by Lumsden & Son. Small format (6.5 x 5"). Beige paper boards, white title label to front cover. 50 pages. B/w illustrations. 50 pages, edges untrimmed. Spine bumped. A couple of light splash marks to covers. A small inkspot affects top margins of a couple of pages. Some pages uncut from binding process.
