Orange boards, red spine. Gilt lettering and vignette. Colour pictorial endpapers. 39 stories and puzzles. Numerous colour illustrations. 192 pages. First story is: "I Dare You To!" illustrated by Hilda McGavin. Minimal bumping to spine and corners. Spine edges faded at top and bottom. Inscription to half-title page with date. Contents which are in very good condition but have a slight musty smell. Dustwrapper is edge creased, has a couple of small closed tears and small areas of loss. Also slightly grubby with a browned spine. Reverse is foxed.

SIGNED by the artist, this is copy no. 304. Spine and corners are slightly bumped and slightly grubby. Ties missing. Name plate to front pastedown. There is slight bookworm or silverfish damage to the front endpaper and some slight foxing to contents but generally a very nice copy.

Light foxing else contents clean. Later dustwrapper (lists a Dimsie book published in 1942 and is a few mm too short for the book!) is price-cut with a few small tears at edges, minimal loss to base of spine. Wrapper is also just a little grubby.
