Foxing and browning.

Rear cover is grubby with some ink marks. Front joint is broken but webbing is still holding the binding together. Some hinges pulled and some foxing. Contained in original posting box which is in good condition.

Pencil indentation marks (pencil erased) to prelims. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins. One hinge a little pulled. Wrapper is edge-torn and chipped with scuffing; some loss at corners and top and tail of spine; Some grubby marks and foxing.

Some foxing and a few marks to margins otherwise contents generally clean. Price cut pictorial wrapper is edge worn with some tears and creasing and loss to top of front panel. Some white marks to rear panel. Wrapper is grubby.

Page 31 has minor grubby mark to margin else contents are clean. A couple of pages have small closed tears to margin edges (not affecting any text). Dustwrapper is edge-worn and chipped with a few closed tears to edges and some browning, spine is a little faded. Overall a lovely copy of a first edition.
