Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Minimal foxing to contents.

Spine and corners bumped, covers slightly edge worn and rear cover is a bit grubby. Top 2" of front joint is just starting to crack. It is possible that the frontispiece is missing (not sure if there was one or not). Name and address in ink in belongs to box. Foxspots and light fingering to contents.

First story The Sea Babies, frontis is The Fairy Lantern. 264 pages. 10 x 7.5". Spine and corners bumped and worn, wear to cover edges. A couple of hinges starting to crack but binding is firm. Light browning to endpapers. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Contents very good. All plates present. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with some loss, mostly from ends of spine. Brown paper stuck along edges on verso. Rear panel grubby.

Some transfers to prelims. Some foxing. One page is detached, but loosely inserted, with ink marks down edge.
