Pink pictorial dustwrapper has a few foxsots, is a little grubby, lightly browned to spine.

Letters originally written to solace the authors brother-in-law (John Buxton) who was captured in Norway in 1940, as a prisoner or war. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and small vignette to front cover. 243 pages. B/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped. Spine faded at top and tail. Endpapers browned. Tiny booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Light foxing to top edge of textblock. Dustwrapper is grubby and edge worn/torn with tape repairs on verso, loss to top and tail of spine and foxed/browned.

More exciting adventures for the children who with a backwards twist of the magic bed-knob were able to fly into the Past. Blue cloth. Yellow pictorial endpapers. B/w illustrations. 119 pages. 8.5 x 5.5". Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Endpapers partly browned. Some light foxing. Inscription in ink to verso of front free-endpaper. Dustwrapper is in two pieces with only 1/3 of the spine remaining. Edges of wrapper are worn and chipped, rear panel is slighty grubby and foxed.
