Covers slightly grubby with scuffing and small amount of scribble to rear cover. New endpapers. Belongs to box completed in pencil. Fingering to lower margins, mostly in first half of book. One colour plate partially detached with tear to inner margin.

Pretty colour plates plus numerous b/w and two-tone illustrations. First story is "Rosalie, the Dark-Haired Princess". Spine bumped and a little faded with 29 written in blue biro. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Rear board a little creased. Covers grubby. Front joint starting to crack. Inscription in ink to front endpaper along with old tape mark. Name in belongs to box. Front endpaper browned. A little foxing to page edges. Crosswords completed in pencil otherwise contents clean.

Couple of splits to spine, with some fraying to cloth. Binding is a bit weak - some pages have partially come away at hinge. Name in ink to front endpaper with tape mark. All plates are present - but frontis has chipping along edge, with some loss and at least one other plate has margin tear. Pages 31/32 and one plate are Detached. A reading copy.
