Illustrated by beautiful woodcuts which seem to have a life of their own. Blue covers, cream spine with gilt titles. 258 pages. Pale browning to cream spine. Bookplate to front pastedown. Front endpaper removed. A few minor foxspots. Pictorial dustwrapper has a few small chips, one larger chips to lower front edge and is browned to spine & rear panel.

Goosie Gander was a dear little goose, both in appearance and behaviour; there was no denying it, and like the rest of his clan, had much shrewd long-headedness tucked away behind the manners and looks of a little goose. Dark orange cloth spine, yellow pictorial boards show goose playing bagpipes to front. Colour illustrations. 62 pages. Bumping along cover edges and to corners. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins. Wrapper is edge-creased with some chips and nicks; a little loss; some foxing.

Name in ink to front endpaper. Light foxing to page edges and to endpapers, light fingering to page margins. Half-title page is lightly browned. A tiny nick to edge of last page. Red dustwrapper is edge worn and torn but only some very slight loss at corners, there is large closed tear across front flap.
