Spine bumped, browned and worn with 3"split to one side. Small part of backstrip is missing. Corners worn. Covers grubby. Couple of hinges cracked. Endpapers browned. Some foxing to page edges. Page edges uncut.

Colour plates and b/w text illustrations (including one Wain cat plate accompanying a verse called "All Afloat" by Clifton Bingham. Reprint, no date. Minimal bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Contents lightly browned with some foxing and an odd mark. One hinge cracked.

Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
Large format. Pictorial boards. Front cover shows some children feeding some birds. Colour frontis and a few other colour plates and b/w illustrations. First story is 'When Is A Hoop Not A Hoop?'. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. Names (to and from) in ink in belongs to box. Pale page browning and some grubby fingermarks to margins. Dustwrapper is slightly edge worn with tears at corners, slight loss to lower front corner and a small ink blot to top of front flap.

First story is "The Knight and the Dragon" (told in rhyme). Spine bumped, corners worn. Covers are slightly grubby with a few small ink spots to rear cover. Gold address label to top margin of front pastedown (which is also the frontis - but it is in the margin so picture not affected). Prize plate neatly inserted at inner margin of title-page. Grubby fingermarks and pale page browning to contents. Neat list of illustrator names written in pencil to verso of title-page.
