Twentieth year of issue. Red cloth spine. Front cover shows young girl in green dress. Endpapers by Anne Anderson. Edited by Golding. 12 Colour plates and numerous two tone illustrations. 264 pages. All cover edges have been neatly covered with cloth tape. Covers a bit grubby and marked, spine faded. New endpapers (not by Anne Anderson). Joints cracked. Colouring to at least one illustration. Cloudy film to bottom of two pages, text still readable. A few marks to contents. 2 plates MISSING.

Blue cloth with gilt titles. Pictorial onlay to front cover shows girl in red hat behind a tree, with what looks like a snow ball in her had. First story is Mistress Cinderella by Moore. Oxenham story is Peggy Plays a Part. 4 colour plates and b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine slightly browned. A couple of small marks to covers. Joints and a few hinges cracked. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper. Some foxing to contents but generally clean otherwise. 1 plate is MISSING.

Light browning to endpapers. Name in ink to verso of front endpaper. Contents very good. All plates present. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with some loss, mostly from ends of spine. Brown paper stuck along edges on verso. Rear panel grubby.

Name in belongs to box. Front endpaper browned. A little foxing to page edges. Crosswords completed in pencil otherwise contents clean.
