Collectors numbered edition. Facsimile of the first Rupert annual (1936). Red/black pictorial cloth. Red, black and white illustrations throughout. A collectors item in itself. ISBN: 0850791499. Offset browning/yellowing, which looks a little like foxing to endpapers and first and last few pages of book, all in the same place. Rest of contents are excellent. This is copy No. 12192. Still has wrapper and original wrap around band which has a few browning marks; light wrinkling along a couple of edges. Original postal box is still present with some foxing/marks.
Colour pictorial card wraps - Rupert looking out through a window. 1st story - Rupert on Coon Island. 120 pages. 9.5 x 7 inches. This annual has not been reproduced in a facsimile edition. Covers are rubbed at edges with some light foxing and light crease to lower front corner. Name and date in ink in belongs to box, slight transfer of ink to facing page (inside front cover). Price NOT cut. Some vertical creases to pages and some light page browning. A nice, bright copy overall.
This is the first Rupert annual to be dated on the inside title page. Colour illustrated boards showing Rupert leap-frogging over Bill Badger. First story 'Rupert and the Water-Lily'. 107 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn, spine starting to split along front edge. 2" tear to inner margin of front free-endpaper. Child's messy name in ink to belongs to box (and outside). Blue ink date stamp to lower margin of title-page. Price NOT cut. Large tear (5") to inner margin of page 5/6. Stamp puzzle strip has been cut out and removed. Colouring contest page messily completed. Some numbers written in pencil and biro to lower page margins. Light finger creases to page margins.
The last hardcover annual to be published during the war years and widely considered to be the best Rupert annual ever. Front cover shows Rupert holding a paddle and waving while Algy looks on from a little boat. First story Rupert and the Red Egg. 118 pages. Spine missing, edges rubbed & worn. Boards a little dull. Front joint cracked. Rear joint starting to crack. Name in belongs to box. Heavy pencil erased from verso of title page and also belongs to box. Page 77 has loss to lower margin but this does not affect the text. Contents browned and a little grubby. A good reading copy.
Glazed boards. Front cover shows Rupert with lantern, pulling a large sledge of holly. Magic painting pages. 115 pages. Top 1-2" of spine are MISSING. Rest of spine has varying amounts of splitting to both sides. Corners are bumped with wear. Belongs to box has name erased. NOT price-cut. Grubby marks. Some doodles in places (e.g. front endpaper), some crayoning in, crayon also to Magic Paintings - which are DONE. Some creasing to pages and grubby marks. This is a WORKING copy ONLY!
Colour laminated boards - Rupert sitting on rock looking into stream. 1st story Rupert & the Whistlefish. 10 x 7 inches. 115 pages. Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Top 1" of spine is MISSING. Belongs to box has name erased. NOT price-cut. Some margin marks. Puzzles are clean.
Colour pictorial laminated boards - Rupert and friends building a snowman. 1st story Rupert and the Friendly Sea-Lion. 123 pages. 10x7 inches. Not published in facsimile form as some of the content was considered politically incorrect. Splits to top and tail of spine; a bit of loss to base of spine; chipping to laminate. Bumping to corners. A few marks to covers. NOT price-cut. Inscription in ink to belongs to box. Painting contest is DONE. Foxing to outer page edges; some margin marks.

The 'look and feel' of the original perfectly captured by this magnificent reproduction. ISBN: 085079241X. Small nick to lower edge of front cover. Cover edges slightly rubbed. Top corner of front cover slightly worn and colour has been touched up (not particularly well). Light foxing to top edge of textblock.
Pictorial card wraps - Rupert running after a tiny dragon. 1st story Rupert and the Top Hat. Covers are very worn and creased. Old tape repairs to spine and cover edges. Rear cover is detached but held on to binding with old browned tape. Name and address in biro to belongs to box. Price NOT cut. Island puzzle done. Contents are a bit grubby throughout.
