Red cloth spine, decorated blue boards. Four colour plates plus b/w text illustrations. First story "Maisie and the Fairies" by Owsley. Top and tail of spine are bumped and faded, with marks. Presentation plate to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut with creasing; tears and loss to top edges of panels. Smaller loss along bottom edges of panels.

Large prize plate to front endpaper. Contents clean. Price-cut dust-wrapper is slightly edge chipped and a little grubby and has a small brown mark to spine. Slight musty (tobacco?) smell to contents.

Spine bumped, worn and grubby with a vertical crease from top to bottom. Corners and cover edges worn. Covers grubby. Rear joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Ink inscription in To box on front endpaper and 1930 written to verso of frontis. A few marks to contents but most pages are clean. A little foxing.

A couple of hinges cracked but binding is firm. Contents generally clean. A little foxing. All plates present but two have darkened edges, one of these has ragged edges too.

First story is Micky O'Connell and the Man in the Moon by Harrison. Spine bumped with small splits to top if spine and larger splits to base of spine, onlay foxed. Wear to corners. A few marks to covers, edges of onlay on front are browned/foxed. Front joint is broken next to half-title page. First three gatherings pulled so feel loose but are still firmly attached. Many hinges cracked. Ink inscription, dated 1926, and name and address to front endpapers. Name and address in child's writing to verso of frontis. A few marks and fingermarks to contents. All colour pages present. Some foxing.
