Story about a cobbler called Dumpy Dick who was very short, his Great Great Grandmother said he wouldn't grow until he found the Jewel of Joy in the Box of Turkish Delight. Very small format 3 x 3.5". Maroon boards with onlay to front cover. Decorated endpapers. Colour frontis. 32 pages. Spine browned. Hinge cracked in centre of book. Contents slightly pulled so some gatherings feel a bit loose.

With Dictionary with 15,000 words. Atlas with 60 maps and Ready Reckoner. Also contains calendars for 1900 - 1902 and Pears' desk friend. Cardwraps with onlay to front and back cover, gold titles etc. Adverts to endpapers. Approx 46 pages. Covers are worn and creased, bottom outside corner of rear cover is missing, writing within title. Pages of maps at centre of book are detached, other pages partially detached but all pages appear to be present. All pages have ragged edges. Browning to endpapers. Some marks to contents. Name to inside of front cover, couple of words to inside of rear cover.

Very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper.
Muff is sure everyone knows about circus monkeys, and is surprised to find he is wrong. When he meets Australian bush animals and birds there is plenty of excitement. Black boards with gilt titles. Illustrated endpapers. Colour and b/w illustrations. 29 pages. A little bumping to spine and corners. Light browning to endpapers and page edges. Dustwrapper is edge worn, torn and creased with loss from base of spine. Tears have been repaired on verso with clear tape.

Fair condition.
"A New Collection of Popular Tales" translated from the German by Taylor. 3/4 leather binding with gilt title and decoration to spine. Blue cloth to covers. B/w plates. Spine is rubbed and slightly darkened. Corners are slightly worn. There are a few light marks to the front cover. Both joints are cracked but not broken. Most of the tissue-guards to the plates have been removed. I think there may be an illustration to the prelims missing. Plate to page 200 has been repaired (was in two pieces has been laid down on a white piece of paper) and the last plate has lower corner torn off (actual illustration not affected). There is foxing and fingermarks to the contents. A decent copy overall of this very rare Brothers Grimm item.
