Pictorial paper boards show girl in red blazer with tennis racket, cloth spine. 4 colour plates, 1 colour plate by Florence Harrison. B/w and two tone illustrations. First story is 'The Socialist' by Mrs. J.D. Westwood. 208 pages. Spine bumped, worn and browned with a few marks. Corners and cover edges worn. Marks to covers. Small amount of crossed out writing to front endpaper. Grubby mark to top corner of half-title page. Rear joint and a couple of hinges cracked but binding is firm. Light foxing and a few marks to contents. All plates present.

Blue cloth with gilt titles. Pictorial onlay to front cover shows girl in red hat behind a tree, with what looks like a snow ball in her had. First story is Mistress Cinderella by Moore. Oxenham story is Peggy Plays a Part. 4 colour plates and b/w illustrations. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine slightly browned. A couple of small marks to covers. Joints and a few hinges cracked. Ink inscription to front pastedown. Small bookseller's stamp to front endpaper. Some foxing to contents but generally clean otherwise. 1 plate is MISSING.

Text block is ever so slightly foxed. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is slightly edge chipped.

Cream cloth, large pictorial onlay to spine and front board, front board shows boy cooking over an open fire whilst girl is passing sticks for fire. First story is 'The Griffins' by Florence Harrison. Colour frontis shows 'The Brownie Gets His Cream'. Colour & b/w illustrations. Boards clean, worn at corners. Name in ink to front pastedown. A few minor foxspots and light marks to margins. Colour plate "She bore away from the danger" has been neatly trimmed away on bottom margin (about an inch missing) but still bears the title of the plate and has a few small closed tears to vertical edge. Pictorial wrapper has neat inscription in ink to front panel, is edge-worn and has loss at edges. Overall, still a decent copy.
