Spine, corners and cover edges bumped and worn. Covers grubby. Top 2" of front endpaper removed. TJ in circle in pen to half-title page. Foxing to contents but generally clean. All plates present, frontis is detached.

Spine bumped and rubbed with small splits to top and bottom. Corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Covers grubby and marked. Front joint cracked and mended with tape. Frontis detached. Slight colouring to one plate. Pencil scribble to rear endpapers and some other pages. Red pen and pencil scribble to verso of one plate. A little foxing and some fingering to page margins.

Cream cloth spine. Pictorial front board showing girl with plaits sitting on chair. Frontis plate by Harrison. First story "The Persian Ginger-Jar" by Middleton. Bumping and wear to spine, corners and cover edges. Covers slightly grubby. Label removed from top corner of front cover. Rear joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Ink name and address and pencil writing to front endpaper, also diagonal crease and marks from label removal. Crease to half title page. Verso of one plate is marked otherwise contents are generally clean. An odd fox spot.
